Last April 16, 2020, Adamson University volunteered three buses to provide transportation service to the health workers of Makati Medical Center. Recent events have drastically affected the whole world and it made complications and changes to normal living.

Since the declaration of Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) last March 16, 2020, a lot of restrictions have been implemented such as the quarantine pass when going outside, curfew, temporary malls, and stores closing at an early time, implying that there will be limited resources and the transportation all over Luzon.

Some of the frontliners live far away from their workplaces, and they only depend on public transportations. However, due to the current situation, they are having a hard time attending to their duties.

Gratefully, a lot of people are helping in this time of crisis, and some of them are donating money, food, and even transportations to our front liners. Adamson University decided to take part in helping the community by providing donations and transportation services to the health workers of Makati Medical Center.

The buses will have two routes, according to the schedule presented by Engrs. Virgilio Lomotan and Fernando Constantino and will be included in a fleet covering the everyday commute of MMC health workers. Route A covers travel to and from MMC and Paliparan-Molino Road (via Molino Boulevard). Trips from MMC are scheduled at 6:30 AM, 8:30 AM, 2:30 PM, and 6:30 PM while those on the way to MMC are slotted at 7:30 AM, 1 PM, and 5 PM.

Other pick-up points for Route A include Paliparan Market, Jollibee Golden City, Cavite School of Life-Dasmariñas, District Mall-Dasmariñas, SM City Molino, Camella Springville Gate, Shell Gas Station-Pag-Asa, Jollibee Molino, Palico Daanan/ Bayanan Road Stop Light, Bacoor City Hall entrance, and Tacaba Elementary School.

“I am really grateful that everybody involved in the partnership is committed to helping our frontliners during this crisis. Thank you also to MMC for taking care of our drivers” Dr. Venusmar Quevedo, AdU Vice President for Administrative Affairs, said.
